For the first time, 100 kg of crayfish fry were released into the Simferopol reservoir to improve the ecosystem, the deputy director of the Simferopol branch of the Crimean Department of Water Management and Land Reclamation told TASS.
For the first time, crayfish, 100 kg of fry, were released into the Simferopol reservoir. They are natural filters, helping to purify the water. They feed on food scraps, small plants and other organic materials. They help to keep the water body clean and prevent the proliferation of harmful bacteria— he said.
