«Grass» fires are one of the main problems in the summer fire season. Negligence in handling fire and children’s pranks are most often the cause of a large number of dry grass fires. Yesterday alone, our firefighters extinguished dry vegetation fires 5 times.
For example, the duty team of the fire station of the urban-type settlement of Nauchny went out to extinguish a fire in an open area near the village of Skalistoe (Bakhchisarai district). The area of the fire was 400 square meters. In the Nizhnegorsky district, the fire station of the village of Okhotskoye extinguished a fire in dry grass on an area of 400 square meters near the village of Izobilnoye. The duty shift of the fire station of the urban-type settlement of Bagerovo extinguished a fire in an open area near the village of Gornostayevka (Leninsky district). Its area was 300 square meters.— the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Crimea reported.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea draws the attention of citizens: abnormally hot weather is expected on August 21-25. The maximum air temperature will be 32°…37° degrees. In these temperature conditions, there is a risk of landscape fires.
Also on the territory of Crimea A special fire safety regime has been in effect since April 17, 2024.
It is strictly prohibited:
- make fires, burn waste, burn dry grass, garbage, burn stubble, crop residues and make fires in fields and forests;
- leave containers with flammable and combustible liquids or gas cylinders in open areas and courtyards;
- use fire-resistant distances between buildings and structures for storing construction materials;
- throwing away burning matches and cigarette butts.
- leave self-igniting material or glassware in the forest, which in sunny weather can focus the sun’s rays and ignite dry vegetation.
