12 more secondary schools will be built in Crimea in three years

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Crimea, 12 educational institutions will be built in a number of municipalities. The projects are planned to be implemented in 2024–2027. This was stated by the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov. According to him, the necessary funds for these purposes have already been allocated.

Schools under construction are provided with full funding, even taking into account the potential increase in the cost of work and materials,” said the Head of Crimea.

According to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, Yuri Gotsanyuk, institutions will be built in the cities of Bakhchisarai (1 school for 600 places), Evpatoria (1 for 480 places), Kerch (1 for 825 places), Simferopol (3 for 1,170 places), Sudak ( 1 for 250 places), Feodosia (1 for 800 places), as well as in Leninsky (1 school for 500 places), Saki (1 for 500 places) and Simferopol (2 for 1100 places) districts.

The commissioning of the facilities will make it possible to eliminate the second shift in schools in these municipal districts.

As reported by the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya, currently in the Republic, education in two shifts continues in 71 schools out of 534. The largest number of such schools operate in the cities of Simferopol (29 educational institutions), Yalta and Feodosia ( 8 institutions each), Dzhankoy and Evpatoria (6 institutions each), Kerch (4), Saki (3), Sudak (2) and in the Bakhchisarai region (5).

To fulfill the order to eliminate the second shift, a decision has already been made to build 7 more schools within the framework of the federal target program until 2030. The projects are planned to be implemented in the cities of Yalta (1) and Simferopol (6), including in the Kamensky massif.

In addition, there is an additional need for the construction of educational institutions in the village of Kamenolomna, Saki district (1 school for 500 places), the cities of Dzhankoy (800 places), Bakhchisarai (1000 places), Feodosia (1200 places), Yalta (1000 places) and Kerch ( 500 seats). Currently, work is underway to identify sources of financing for these facilities. At the same time, land plots for construction have already been allocated.

Sergei Aksyonov added that the implementation of these projects will completely cover the need for schools in the Republic of Crimea.
