14% of residents of Crimea believe that children cannot have accounts in social networks

In a survey of the Search for highly paid work Superjob Representatives of the economically active population from Crimea took part, including parents of children 7-17 years old.
Economically active residents of Crimea believe that it is best for teenagers over 13 years old to start accounts on social networks: 28% of respondents called the optimal registration age 13-15 years, and 27% — 16-17 years. 11% allow the creation of a profile of 10-12 years. Another 4% consider it possible to register for children 7-9 years old. 3% of respondents are sure that age does not matter, and the decision should depend on the desire of the child. 14% against children’s accounts in principle.
Women more often than men said that access to social networks can be allowed to a child 10-12 years old (14% versus 8%, respectively). Men often argued that social networks are contraindicated for children (16% against 12% among women). The most supporters of such an idea among citizens are over 45 years old, 21% of them believe that minors have nothing to do on social networks.
Parents survey data show that almost every third is aware of the presence of 7-9 years of age in social networks (29%) in children. Among the parents of children 10-12 years old, this indicator reaches 58%, and among adolescents over 13 years old — 80%. Moreover, the older the children, the weaker the control of the parents: if among mothers and fathers of younger students do not follow accounts only 2%, then among the parents of 16-17-year-olds there are already 50%.
A similar trend is observed in the issue of regulating the time spent on social networks. Among the parents of 7-9-year-old children, 73%set restrictions, and only 27%among parents of 16-17-year-olds.
Most parents (71%) are talking with minor children about the safety rules on the Internet. Mothers do this more often for fathers (75% versus 67%). According to the contextual analysis of comments, 60% of such conversations relate to communication with strangers, 31% — protection of personal data, and 17% — warnings about the transitions on suspicious links.
