The single benefit for families with income below the subsistence minimum is received not only by families with children, but also by expectant mothers. Since the start of the program, the Sevastopol Department of the Social Fund of Russia has assigned benefits to 1,406 expectant mothers who registered with medical organizations before the 12th week of pregnancy.
Let us remind you that when processing the payment, a comprehensive assessment of the family’s income and property is applied, and the employment of the parents or objective reasons for their absence are also taken into account.
The monthly income for each family member must not exceed 15,762 rubles (the regional subsistence minimum per capita in Sevastopol in 2024).
The amount of the monthly benefit for pregnant women who register early may be 50% (RUB 8,590.5), 75% (RUB 12,885.75) or 100% (RUB 17,181) of the subsistence minimum for the working-age population.
The single benefit is assigned by the Sevastopol Department of the SFR when a woman applies after the onset of 12 weeks of pregnancy, and the funds are paid for the period from the month of registration with a medical organization, but not earlier than the onset of 6 weeks of pregnancy.
The benefit is paid from the month of registration, even if the expectant mother applies in the last stages of pregnancy. The money is always received for a full month, including the month in which the baby is born. If a woman has children for whom she already receives a single benefit, she can apply for a payment when she extends the child benefit for a new term. In this case, previous payments of social support measures for children will not be taken into account when calculating the family’s income., — the press service quotes Elena Gaivoronskaya, manager of the Sevastopol branch of the Social Fund of Russia.
The application can be filled out on the public services portal, at the MFC or at the client service of the Sevastopol Branch of the SFR.
The decision on appointment is made within 10 working days from the date of registration of the application and receipt by the regional branch of the SFR of the necessary information from the applicant’s organizations and documents.
The first transfer of funds occurs within 5 working days after the decision on the payment assignment is made. Subsequently, funds are transferred through banks on a single payout day — 3 numbers, by mail — from the 1st to the 25th of the month following the month for which the benefit is paid. For example, if the benefit is assigned and paid in August, then the next payment for September will be received in October, the payment for October — in November, etc.
