150 students and schoolchildren tidied up the territory of the Simferopol park named after. Yu.A. Gagarin

From January 25 to 26 in Simferopol in the park named after. Yu. A. Gagarin, 150 fighters of Russian student groups helped in cleaning and beautifying its territory. Student brigade members collected leaves and did sanitary pruning of trees. In two days, more than 18 tons of fallen leaves were collected and removed. Cleaning work made it possible to tidy up 20 hectares of the park.

Gagarinsky Park is the largest park in the city. This is a popular holiday destination among residents of Simferopol, and continuous work is important to maintain the cleanliness and order of its territory. Throughout the year, student teams of Crimea have been actively interacting with the management of the Capital Parks Municipal Budgetary Institution. Students and schoolchildren systematically help in cleaning the territory of the city’s park facilities. Employees of the “Capital Parks” institution provide Crimean student workers with the necessary equipment and coordinate their work.

My child and I walk in the park every day. I saw young people in blue jackets working in the park. After talking with the guys, I was sincerely surprised that these were students who, during their winter holidays, decided to help in the improvement of the city as volunteers. I didn’t expect that there were such guys, and in such numbers. Words of gratitude and respect to our hardworking students, — said Svetlana Sandulova, a resident of Simferopol.

60 schoolchildren from Simferopol also took part in the work. Students of the School-Lyceum No. 3 named after Makarenko, the Open Space Lyceum named after Beregovoy, school No. 8 named after Voloshinova, School-Lyceum No. 17, school No. 24 named after Klimenko are united into two labor teams of teenagers (TOP). This form of organizing school youth helps schoolchildren unite into work teams and, through socially useful work within the framework of volunteer activities, consciously choose areas of work that are interesting for work during the summer holidays. In TOPs, schoolchildren receive their first work experience, working in the field of city improvement, service provision and trade, helping counselors in children’s camps, etc.

For the second year in a row, labor teams of teenagers are taking part in cleaning Gagarinsky Park. We are glad to have the opportunity to work for the benefit of the city and contribute to its development. Participation in such labor landings helps us not only improve the condition of the park, but also unite the team in the detachment. All the time we spend here, we work, communicate and just enjoy the process. This is a great opportunity for us, schoolchildren, to make our Simferopol more comfortable and beautiful together., — says Anastasia Trapeznikova, commissar of the labor group of teenagers “Innovators” of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian Socialist Republic.

Labor landing to clean the park named after. Yu.A. Students and schoolchildren carried out Gagarin as part of the Republican patriotic action “Crimean student landing of the Russian North Ossetia”. In 2025, the Crimean student landing force of the Russian North Ossetia unites 400 students and schoolchildren who work in 18 municipalities of the Republic of Crimea to clean and improve public areas, monuments of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, provide assistance to elderly people, families of the North Military District participants, conduct lessons of courage in schools.
