17% of employers in Crimea prohibit employees from storing personal files on work computers
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Representatives of companies and employees with work computers from the Crimea took part in surveys of the SuperJob service for finding highly paid jobs.
Today, 17% of Crimean companies have a ban on storing personal files on work computers. Most often, employers explain this with safety requirements, as well as discipline considerations. The fact that they store personal files on their work computer is recognized by 22% of employees, and 2% do this despite the prohibition of the employer, and one in five (20%) reports that there are no such restrictions in their company. 78% of respondents do not clutter up their work computer with personal information, and only 21% do not do this due to a direct ban, and 57% for other reasons: “I have been storing everything in the cloud for a long time”; «I don’t want it to go anywhere»— noted in the press service of the service.
The older the respondents, the more often, with the consent of the employer, they keep personal files on the work computer: if among the respondents under 34 years old, 19% do this, then among the older generation — every fourth (26%). Those who calmly save photos, music, videos, etc. to their work computer are more common among citizens with high salaries (34%). Women are more sensitive about the boundaries between work and private life: they are more likely than men to report that they do not store personal files on their work computer, although this is not prohibited (60% vs. 53%).
