20 years in prison! Simferopol resident convicted of sexual crimes against schoolgirls

The evidence collected by the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol was found by the court to be sufficient to pass a guilty verdict against a 34-year-old resident of Simferopol for committing other acts of a sexual nature with the use of violence and the threat of murder against two minors under the age of 14; their rape and video recording for the purpose of producing pornographic materials (clause «b» of Part 5 of Article 132, clause «b» of Part 5 of Article 131, clauses «a» and «c» of Part 2 of Article 242.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The Investigative Department for the Kievsky District and the court established that late at night on July 27, 2023, a drunk man met two 13-year-old schoolgirls on Bespalova Street and invited them to spend time together. Near the entrance to the dormitory, the attacker attacked one of the friends from behind, holding a key to her throat. Threatening to kill, he committed sexual crimes against minors, filming what was happening on his mobile phone– the Investigative Committee said.
The man was found guilty of the crimes incriminated and sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment to be served in a strict regime penal colony. After serving his sentence, the convicted person will be restricted in freedom for another 1 year and 6 months.
