22 people who were injured on the Sevastopol beach were sent to Moscow

An Il-76 aircraft from the Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered those wounded during a missile attack in Sevastopol to the capital for treatment. Four children in serious condition were hospitalized at the Russian Clinical Hospital of the Russian Ministry of Health (RCCH).

Four victims were taken to the intensive care unit of the Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital: children from 8 to 15 years old, three boys, one girl. The condition of the patients is serious, caused by mine-explosive injuries and shrapnel wounds. All patients underwent computed tomography upon admission. In the near future, a set of diagnostic procedures is planned, based on the results of which treatment tactics will be selected, including surgical interventions.,” said Dmitry Prometnoy, head of the resuscitation and intensive care department of the Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital.

In total, the special flight brought 22 victims to Moscow, including 12 children. All of them require either special care due to the severity of their injuries or unique medical interventions. Patients from Sevastopol were sent to leading medical institutions: Botkin Hospital, Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine, Pirogov National Medical and Surgical Center and others.

The wounded were transported by a special aircraft equipped with modern equipment: special medical modules, an artificial respiration apparatus, and cardiac monitors. They were accompanied by doctors from the Centrospas detachment of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, psychologists from the Center for Emergency Psychological Assistance of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and specialists from the Russian Ministry of Health, the press service of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry for Sevastopol reported.

On June 23, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Sevastopol with five long-range ATACMS missiles with cluster parts. As a result of the strike on the Uchkuevka beach on the northern side of the city, four people were killed and more than 150 were injured by shrapnel, including 27 children.
