250 volunteers will help improve monuments to partisans in the Crimean Mountains

From October 5 to October 15, the Interregional Patriotic Rally (Rally) will be held in Crimea, organized as part of the All-Russian patriotic action “Let us bow to the Great Those Years.” The rally will bring together 250 fighters of Russian student groups (RSF) from the Republic of Crimea, Volgograd, Zaporozhye, Kherson regions, Krasnodar, Perm and Stavropol territories. Student brigade members will go to places of partisan military glory to clean and improve memorial signs and monuments of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, installed in the mountain-forest zone of Crimea.

The rally is held in the format of tourist trips to the places of partisan military glory in Crimea. It is aimed at the development of labor volunteerism in student groups, as well as familiarization with the history and preservation of memorable objects of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

In the Republic of Crimea, the rally is held with the support of the State Committee for Youth Policy of the Republic of Crimea, Crimean Federal University. V.I. Vernadsky, Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov and the Crimean regional branch of Russian student teams.

The rally itself is held on the eve of the memorable date — October 23. Day of memory and glory of the Crimean partisans and underground fighters. It was on October 23, 1941 that the Headquarters of the Crimean partisan movement was created.

The start of the rally was given on October 5 near the monument to employees and graduates of the Crimean Medical Institute who died during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

If we delve deeper into the history of the partisan movement in Crimea, then in total With 1941 By 1944s On the Crimean peninsula, there were 62 partisan detachments and 220 underground organizations and groups with a total number of up to twelve with half a thousand people. During this time Crimean partisans and underground fighters carried out more than three thousand actions against enemy troops, communications and objects. The Crimean partisans, with their active military operations, provided invaluable assistance to the troops of the Soviet army, hindering the actions of the invaders and causing them enormous damage, destroying manpower, communication and material resources. The heroism of the Crimean partisans should forever be preserved in the memory of subsequent generations. And the work that will be carried out as part of the rally will contribute to this, – Vladislav Ezin, Commissioner of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian Socialist Republic, addressed the student brigade members at the grand opening of the rally.

I am in the detachments not only because I can work in the direction that interests me — leadership, but also because I can realize my potential here as a volunteer. This year marks 80 years since the liberation of Crimea from fascist invaders. I think duty to take part in the restoration and improvement of monuments Great Patriotic War as a sign of gratitude to our ancestors for their feat. In addition, as part of the rally, we have the opportunity to visit the actual events get acquainted with the history of the heroic partisan movement, and do it in a team of like-minded people with whom we can not only work, but also communicate— said Sofya Skorokhodova, commissar of the student pedagogical detachment “Myriad” of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian student detachments.
