26 people were evacuated from a fire in Sevastopol
Firefighters extinguished a fire on Liza Chaikina Street in Sevastopol. According to information from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, information about smoke and fire on the balcony of the fifth floor of a residential building was received at 19:46.
A gas and smoke protection unit was formed on site to work in an environment unsuitable for breathing and vision. Units entered the premises and discovered a fire. Gun B was immediately used to extinguish it. At the same time, firefighters evacuated 26 people, including 1 child, from neighboring apartments— reported the emergency department.
The fire was contained to an area of 20 square meters. By 20:50 the fire was completely extinguished.
There were no dead or injured. The causes and circumstances of the incident are being established.
