3 out of 10 Crimeans believe that it is better not to ask anyone questions about salaries

CrimeaPRESS reports:

It is not customary in Russia to hide the salary from spouses: 73% of Crimeans reported that the other half is aware of their real income. However, men still share this information more often than women. Representatives of the economically active population took part in the survey of the SuperJob search service for highly paid jobs.

Only 10% of Crimeans consider it acceptable to be interested in the amount of earnings from all friends and relatives. 36% are convinced that only a few people can be asked about this. 3 out of 10 believe that it is better not to ask anyone such a delicate question. The readiness to inquire about the level of income of any close person is more often said by men (13% versus 8% among women), while women speak about the inappropriateness of such questions in all or most cases. The older the respondents, the more often they are convinced that it is impossible to ask anyone about the amount of salary: if among those surveyed under 34 years old, this opinion is shared by 16%, then among the older generation — already 30%— noted in the press service of the service.

Talking about the amount of their earnings, positive emotions are experienced by 16% of employees, negative — 19%. Every fourth (24%) shares this information without any feelings, the same number prefer to remain silent about it. The higher the income, the more often they talk about it with pride: if among those whose salary is less than 50 thousand rubles, only 9% experience positive emotions, then among those earning more than 80 thousand rubles. — (25%).

The fact that the level of their income is not known to anyone was reported by 20% of working citizens. For every second (49%), the exact amount of earnings is known to the second half, for every third (32%) — to their parents, for every fifth (19%) — to friends, and for every tenth (10%) — to other relatives.

The majority of those who are married (73%) reported that the spouses are aware of their real income level, while 19% hide the salary from the second half. The latter is more characteristic of women (23% versus 16% among men).
