3 years, but lucky — a trial period. The verdict of the Bakhchisarai district court

A minor resident of the Bakhchisaray district was convicted for illegal sale of drugs. By the verdict of the Bakhchisaray District Court of the Republic of Crimea, the guilty person was sentenced to 3 years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 3 years.

As follows from the materials of the criminal case, a young man born in 2005 in mid-March of this year sold the drug cannabis (marijuana). About where he obtained such a “goods”, the minor defendant said that he found a wild-growing cannabis bush in the forest, cut off the leaves, and then sold them to his friend. At the hearing, the young man claimed that he himself did not use narcotic drugs and does not use them, he repents of his deed, agrees with the accusation and fully admits his guilt. The court concluded that the defendant was guilty and that his actions were qualified under Part 1 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — illegal sale of narcotic drugs— reported the press service of the court.

At the same time, the court took into account the presence of several mitigating factors such as: confession, active contribution to the disclosure and investigation of the crime, the defendant committed the crime for the first time, sincerely repented, the conditions of his life and upbringing in a large family. The court came to the conclusion that the correction of the young man is possible without actually serving the sentence, which will be necessary and sufficient for his correction.

The verdict has not entered into force.
