300 KFU students undergo coupling to reduce the lack of personnel in the field of children's recreation in Crimea

This spring on the basis of the Crimean Federal University. V.I. Vernadsky for 300 students started professional training for subsequent work in children’s recreation camps in Crimea.

Future counselors visited a number of lecture and practical classes, where experienced speakers-teachers of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the University, spoke about the legal base of work as counselors, the features of ensuring life and health, as well as the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of children of different ages.

Students consolidate all the knowledge gained in practice: in trainings and master classes they learn to organize games and events, write scripts and put dancing, learn songs and chants, and also work out possible conflict situations.

Professional training is supported by the Government of the Russian Federation by providing grants for training on basic vocational training programs on a free basis for participants in student detachments in the professions of workers, employees necessary for labor activity as part of such detachments. Since 2021, Russian student detachments have been the operator to ensure the implementation of vocational training measures. One of the key professions that conduct vocational training in the framework of grant support is the profession of “counselor”.

Student detachments of the Republic of Crimea, together with leading universities, annually are actively involved in the preparation of qualified counselors for work in children’s recreational camps of the region. It is very important for us to provide support to the republic and create conditions for children to relax as comfortable and unforgettable as possible. Every year, more and more students show interest in the work of counselors, because this is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience that will come in handy in their future professional activities. Moreover, the work of the counselor allows the student years to conduct vividly for the benefit for the region— said Karina Gayanova, head of the pedagogical detachments of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student detachments.

It was always interesting to work as a counselor. As a child, I have never been in the camps, but my friends’ stories interested me, and now I really want to plunge into this camp atmosphere. All classes are very informative, lecturers interestingly present information. It is especially important that in addition to the theoretical part there are practical classes — they much better help to learn the material, develop Professional Skills and confidence in their abilities— shared her impressions, Victoria Tsonechny, a student of KFU named after V.I.
