434 Crimean libraries took part in the reading marathon “Get the Joy of Reading”

434 public libraries of Crimea took part in the annual Republican reading marathon “Get the Joy of Reading,” aimed at popularizing and promoting books and reading. The project was organized by the Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library named after. AND I. Franco with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.

Over 7.6 thousand participants joined the large-scale event held as part of the Year of the Teacher and Mentor in Russia. As part of the marathon, more than 560 events were held, about 400 exhibitions were organized, 1.1 thousand new users were registered, and about 10 thousand copies of documents were issued.

Teachers from various educational institutions in the region took an active part in the event, who, together with representatives of local administrations and public organizations, creative intelligentsia, students, read excerpts from the works of famous figures in pedagogical science Anton Makarenko, Konstantin Ushinsky, Dmitry Likhachev, Vasily Sukhomlinsky, etc. Popularity also used works by Arkady Gaidar, Nikolai Nosov, Victor Rasputin, Chingiz Aitmatov, Vasily Shukshin, Vladimir Zheleznyakov, Victor Dragunskysaid the organizers.

Crimean poets and writers were traditionally invited to participate in the event, who read their own works and shared their impressions of their favorite books and authors.
