44% of Crimeans support the introduction of a “second hand” banking mechanism

A bill has been sent to the State Duma, according to which elderly and other socially vulnerable citizens will be able to attract a trusted person to confirm transactions (the so-called “second hand” mechanism). 44% of Crimeans support the initiative, opponents of the bill and those who find it difficult to assess it — 56%. In a service survey Superjob Citizens from Crimea took part.
44% of Crimeans support the bill: “Insurance against fraudsters will not be superfluous,” “I support it if the pensioner himself so desires.” Moreover, men are more likely to support the introduction of a “second hand” mechanism than women (53% versus 35%, respectively).
Every fifth Crimean citizen is against the bill: “I think a more reliable way for older people is to make transfers only in person at bank branches under the supervision of employees,” “Lest this becomes a loophole for fraudsters.” Citizens also doubt the integrity of trustees: “The trustee may be interested in having this money transferred only to his account.” Those who are over 45 years old (30%) most often reject the “second-hand mechanism”; among those who are younger, there are significantly fewer such people (under 34 years old — 15%, from 35 to 44 years old — 24%). Every fourth citizen with an income above 100 thousand rubles. also speaks out against the initiative, whereas, for example, among those who receive less than 50 thousand rubles. only every ninth is against.
Every third Crimean finds it difficult to evaluate the initiative.
