50-year-old resident of Simferopol robbed several hardware stores

The thief was «spotted» by surveillance cameras.
Police departments in Simferopol received a number of reports from managers of local digital equipment stores that during the inventory they had identified several thefts by an unknown person. Surveillance cameras recorded how an unknown man put the goods in a bag, after which he carried the stolen goods through the alarm system. In total, the attacker managed to steal equipment for a total amount of about 50 thousand rubles.
As a result of operational-search measures, the attacker was detained by the criminal investigation officers. It turned out to be a 50-year-old local resident previously convicted of property crimes. The man did not deny his guilt, and admitted that he handed over all the stolen property to local pawnshops for cash rewards that he spent on his own needs.— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
On the grounds of the corpus delicti under part 1 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft, that is, the secret theft of another’s property), criminal cases were initiated. The perpetrator faces up to two years in prison.
