500 thousand tons of grains, legumes and industrial crops were threshed in the Republic of Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Republic of Crimea has threshed 500 thousand tons of grain, leguminous and industrial crops. This was reported by the acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea Alime Zaredinova, who left for a working visit to the Simferopol region.
In the Republic of Crimea, the active phase of harvesting grain and leguminous crops is underway. More than 1,000 combine harvesters operate in the Crimean fields. About 150 thousand hectares have been harvested, 500 thousand tons of grains, legumes and industrial crops have been threshed. Taking into account the current weather conditions, the gross harvest will not reach record levels in 2023. However, the planned volume will fully provide the Republic of Crimea with food and feed grain, as well as seed material— the press service quotes the acting minister.
Alime Zaredinova reminded that in total, more than 760 thousand hectares are subject to harvesting in the Republic of Crimea. Agricultural producers of Crimea began harvesting early grain crops in early June 2024.
The largest areas for harvesting early grain and leguminous crops are in the farms of the Krasnogvardeisky, Dzhankoysky, Leninsky and Saksky districts. At the same time, feed is being prepared for livestock farms. In 2024, the peninsula’s farmers have been tasked with harvesting the grown crop in the optimal time frame and without losses.— the acting minister said.
