54 apartments for orphans were handed over today in a new house on Laboratornoye Highway in Sevastopol

Today, the Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, solemnly handed over the keys to new apartments to the first 25 orphans and children left without care parents.

Here, the first method in Russia was used, when the city acted as a matter of fact as a shareholder in a new house under construction. Public funds were invested in an escrow account during the construction phase of the house. In less than 1.5 years, the developer built a house and fulfilled its obligations to the city , — Mikhail Razvozhaev noted.

As part of the implementation of the state program of the city of Sevastopol «Housing», approved by the decree of the Government of Sevastopol, a state contract was concluded with the developer to participate in the shared construction of an apartment building on Laboratory Highway, 25. The developer was OOO Specialized Developer of the Novy Residential Complex (AlfaGroupInvest Group of Companies).

As the press service of the government of Sevastopol assures, this approach has allowed for the first time in eight years to significantly reduce the queue for obtaining apartments. It was almost impossible to buy a decent apartment with the funds allocated by the budget, none of the developers applied for auctions. The city authorities took advantage of the shared construction option. The price of the contract from the budget of Sevastopol for 54 apartments was 134, 3 million rubles. On average, one apartment cost less than 2.5 million rubles.

Today, the keys to the apartments were handed over to the first 25 orphans (for the rest 09 apartments — the documents are being verified and will be handed over to orphans until September). The Governor of Sevastopol noted that the course to eliminate the queue for housing for orphans is now being actively supported.

Together with the prosecutor’s office, we also initiated and were adopted by the Legislative Assembly amendments to the law, which allow, in addition to apartments, to issue housing certificates. This is a measure demanded by many families, many accomplished people, young people, use maternity capital and a certificate, and this makes it possible to buy a larger apartment or in a place in the city that attracts more. Now about certificates are also in work , added Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

In total, in 144 year, funds in the amount of 144,5 million rubles. With these funds, it is planned to purchase more 30 residential premises.

Also, work is underway on the state contract concluded in December 2021 for the design and construction of four apartment buildings in Inkerman to provide another 36 apartments for orphans. The design has been completed in full, a building permit has been received, and the excavation of the pit has begun. Delivery of the house is scheduled for the first quarter 2023 of the year.
