550 students are trained in courage for work in the summer in children's camps in Crimea

Krympress reports:

Since March 25, a school of leadership skills has been held on the basis of the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov, which will allow to prepare more than 550 counselors to work in the summer in the territory of children’s camps of the Republic of Crimea. According to the results of certification, students will receive a certificate of professional training with the assignment of appropriate qualifications.

The vocational training program provides for trainings, master classes and open lessons about the basics of spiritual and moral culture of counseling, which will affect work with children in children’s camps this year. So one of the lectures for future counselors was conducted by White Konstantin Vyacheslavovich, candidate of historical sciences, candidate of theology, senior teacher of the MSU branch in Sevastopol, rector of the local religious organization “The Orthodox Admission of the Temple in the name of the Holy Warrior of Feodor Tyron of Sevastopol”.

Training is held with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation. Financing is ensured by grants for free training in vocational training programs. Since 2021, the Russian Student Detachments (North Ossetia) has been organizing the process. One of the key professions that conduct vocational training in the framework of grant support is the profession of “counselor”.

This year, in the professional training of counselors at the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov, special attention is paid to the practical part, carried out directly on the basis of children’s camps. The implementation of this program will reduce the acute shortage of seasonal personnel in children’s recovery in the Republic of Crimea.

There is very little time left before the start of the summer children’s health season. Ahead of students is waiting for an exam, after which they will be able to go to children’s camps in order to realize their knowledge and skills in practice. This year, a lot of work was done on the professional training of future counselors, and The Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov played a key role in this process. The university annually helps to implement vocational training programs, providing students with everything necessary for successful work with children. We are sure that after the completion of the training, the program participants will come out qualified specialists who are ready to make children in the camp safe and fascinating— says Ekaterina Denesyuk, head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student detachments.

“As a child, I visited children’s camps annually, and when I entered the first year of university, I realized that becoming a counselor is my dream. Having learned about the possibility of undergoing professional training and get a chance to work as a counselor in a children’s camp, I immediately signed up for training. Two months of study passed incredibly quickly, soon I have to pass the exam and go to work in a children’s camp. I am looking forward to this moment, because this is a great chance to make the summer of children rich and joyful-notes Alice Grabvenko, a student of the Crimean engineering and pedagogical university named after Fevisie Yakubova.
