In second place is medicine and pharmaceuticals (11%), economics and finance, as well as design and web design (11%each). In third place — psychology and pedagogy (10%).

The prestige of the profession plays a role for every fifth (21%) applicant. Also, for 18%, the availability of training is important — so that it costs inexpensively or there are budget places. But the influence of loved ones is less significant: only 13% of applicants rely on the opinion of parents and other family members. Even fewer those who choose a specialty due to family traditions (9%) or friends’ tips (8%). There are those who have not decided on specific further plans: they just want to go where they will work out (5%).

At the same time, 56% of applicants intend to make the final decision on the receipt exclusively independently. 27% will listen to the advice of parents or other family members, another 11% — to the recommendations of friends and acquaintances.

Among modern graduates, the trend for obtaining a profession in the field of information technology remains relevant. This direction attracts young people with high salaries, career prospects and opportunities for working in a flexible format. Traditionally popular areas remain popular — for example, medicine and jurisprudence. Interest in them is maintained due to the social significance and stability of these areas. It is noteworthy that many applicants are also attracted to secondary vocational education, especially in demanded practical areas: transport and logistics, construction specialties, working professions, — comments Roman Gubanov, director of the development of Avito work.
