6 out of 10 Crimeans always check the expiration date of food products
CrimeaPRESS reports:
6 out of 10 Crimeans carefully check the expiration date of food products. When buying shampoo or toothpaste, only every third person does this. In a survey of a service for finding high-paying jobs SuperJob Representatives of the economically active population from Crimea took part.
Most Crimeans check the expiration dates of various goods. 6 out of 10 respondents always look at production dates for food products, every second (51%) — for medicines, every third — for personal care products. Only 2% of products never check their expiration dates, 12% of medicines, and 23% of shampoos. When purchasing perfumes and cosmetics, 51% of women always pay attention to the shelf life, and only 7% never do this,” noted the service’s press service.
Women in general are more picky about the expiration dates of products with a limited shelf life. For example, men are almost twice as likely as women not to look at the expiration date of medications (16% vs. 8%, respectively) or personal hygiene products (33% vs. 13%).
Crimeans aged 35 to 44 are the most attentive: they are more likely than those who are younger and those who are older to check the expiration date of purchased goods.
