CrimeaPRESS reports:
A bill has been submitted to the State Duma to reduce the working week by 1 hour, from 40 to 39 hours. The majority of townspeople support the initiative. Representatives of the economically active population from Crimea took part in the survey of the service for finding high-paying jobs SuperJob.
Now 7 out of 10 Crimeans working full-time according to a 40-hour work week work a full day on Friday. For 24%, employers reduced working hours on Friday by 1 hour,” noted the service’s press service.
The bill to reduce working hours by one hour per week was supported by 64% of citizens: “Very good! People will get a lot done: go to the country, spend more time with their family!” Moreover, women approve of the initiative more actively than men (68% versus 60%, respectively). 16% are against the bill; their main concerns relate to the amount of earnings: “Wages will be reduced, but overtime will remain.” 20% found it difficult to assess the initiative of the deputies: “In many organizations, the lunch break is 48 minutes instead of an hour. As a result, there is a shortened working day on Friday.”
