60 collectible posters for films shot in Crimea were brought to the opening of the film studio in Sudak

Pavilion complex of the studio «Yug.Kino» built on an area of almost 4 thousand square meters. The official ceremony to mark the completion of the first stage of the studio was held on July 26, on the opening day of the festival of young multinational art «Tavrida.ART».
The State Film Fund of Russia is the largest archive in the world, the largest archive in Russia, which has a huge collection from silent to feature, documentary, and popular science films. And at the same time, it stores a huge collection of not only film materials themselves, but also paper ones, some of which we are presenting here today. We have more than 50 thousand posters, 60 of which we are presenting today at the opening of the Yug.Kino film studio— the fund’s general director Denis Aksenov told journalists.
Posters of cult films decorate the corridors and exhibition space of the studio. Among the films on display is the first film shot in Crimea in 1911, «Defense of Sevastopol,» as well as «Kidnapping, Caucasian Style,» «Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession,» «Amphibian Man,» and others. According to Aksyonov, the posters may remain here for permanent display.
In March 2024, the head of the Tavrida art cluster, Sergey Pershin, reported that the film studio in the art cluster in Crimea should become the center of film industry competence for the entire south. It was noted that there are no analogues of the content center under construction on the Black Sea coast. The next stage of the film studio construction is equipping it with equipment, furniture and everything necessary for film production. The complex will include filming pavilions, post-production studios, editing, screening, dressing and wardrobe rooms, auxiliary infrastructure will be built (a workshop for the production of scenery, warehouses, administrative and technical premises, parking for passenger and special vehicles, a site for location shooting and a park of film scenery).
