The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea is a participant in the implementation of the regional project «Financial support for families at birth of children» of the national project «Demography» in terms of in vitro fertilization (IVF) for families suffering from infertility, at the expense of the basic program of compulsory medical insurance.
As Igor Livshits, chief freelance specialist in reproductive health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea, said, the regional project for 2022 year provides for 779 IVF procedures for families at the expense of OMS. According to operational data for nine months of the current year, IVF procedures were performed in the region free of charge for the patient, which is 80, 4% of the plan. 221 woman delivered after IVF procedure, 245 children were born, — the press service of the Ministry of Health reported. In order to improve the reproductive health of women, experts of the department note, over the past years, issues of preserving the reproductive health of citizens, preventing unwanted pregnancies and stimulating the birth rate have been under constant control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea. A number of activities are being carried out in the region aimed at improving the reproductive health of the population, the use of assisted reproductive technologies, and the prevention of abortions.
