8% of women in Crimea faced a negative reaction from their employer to pregnancy

In Crimea, 55% of women reported pregnancy to their employer in the first trimester, 16% — in the second, 7% — no earlier than the 7th month — immediately before going on maternity leave. Women under the age of 39 are more likely than those older to inform their employer about their situation early. In the second trimester and later, those over 40 are more likely to share good news with their bosses. 44% of expectant mothers said that employers react positively to information about pregnancy, 32% reported a neutral reaction, and 8% of respondents reported a negative reaction.,” noted the service’s press service.
Colleagues at work react positively to information about the upcoming replenishment in most cases: 66% of mothers reported that co-workers were happy about the news about pregnancy, every fifth that the attitude was neutral.
