8 out of 10 Crimeans approve indexation of pensions for working pensioners
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The majority of citizens support the presidential order on the indexation of pensions for working pensioners. In a survey of a service for finding high-paying jobs Superjob.ru Representatives of the economically active population took part.
84% of Crimeans supported Vladimir Putin’s initiative to index the fixed part of the pension for working pensioners from February 1, 2025. We would like to remind you that indexation has not been carried out since 2016. Men and women equally agree with the president’s order: “A pension is not a gift from the state, but what a person has earned for his work. The state takes part of a working person’s salary in order to later pay him a pension!” Against the background of general support against indexation, only 11% of city residents: “Working pensioners are taking jobs away from young people”; “If only there wasn’t another round of inflation”,” noted the service’s press service.
The generation aged 45 and older more actively supports the initiative than citizens under 34 (86% versus 77% — those younger were more likely to find it difficult to assess). Most often, respondents with a salary of 100 thousand rubles (92%) spoke in favor of introducing indexation: “If there were a decent pension, pensioners would not work.”
