The majority of Crimean residents would like to return the system of free primary vocational education. In a service survey SuperJob Representatives of the economically active population from Crimea took part.
Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin suggested return to the system of primary vocational education so that high school students can learn a profession for free. 86% of Crimean residents support the initiative, with women being more active than men (92% versus 80%, respectively). 9 out of 10 survey participants over the age of 45 consider Vyacheslav Volodin’s proposal correct (many of them themselves underwent similar training at school): “The shortage of blue-collar professions has been crying out for this step for a long time”; “We must return the Soviet system” — noted in the press service of the service.
Parents of students in grades 8-11 also support the idea: 87% of them would like their children to be able to acquire basic professional skills while still at school.
There are few opponents of the initiative (2%), another 12% found it difficult to give an assessment, and here are their main arguments: “It depends on whether it will be on a voluntary basis”; “Such a decision would be correct if children could complete their studies in schools just as freely and easily. Schools are getting rid of children and don’t want to take many into 10th grade”; “We also need a group of industrialists who will guarantee job stability”; “Don’t they want to make vocational schools completely free?!”
