93 centenarians live in Crimea, celebrating their centenary anniversary

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Crimeans who are 100 years old or more.

In Crimea, the most centenarians live in Simferopol, Yalta and Evpatoria. Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea Maxim Teryaev spoke about this during a live broadcast organized by the Regional Management Center of the Republic of Crimea.

We know each of our centenarians, this is our pride. The oldest Crimean woman is 106 years old. Our social center specialists communicate with them, take an interest in them, and provide the necessary assistance. Upon reaching the age of one hundred, each Crimean citizen is annually transferred a republican measure of social support in the amount of 50 thousand rubles,” noted Maxim Teryaev.

The deputy minister also emphasized that a lot of work is being done in Crimea to provide social services, including in a stationary form. This applies to the activities of nursing homes and boarding schools. There are currently 10 such institutions in the network of the Republic of Crimea: 4 of them are general and 6 institutions that provide services to people with mental illnesses.

Until 2014, we had queues for such institutions. Over the course of ten years, we built two psychoneurological boarding schools with 250 beds each. These are the most modern institutions with absolutely all the material resources. The Krasnogvardeisky psychoneurological boarding school was included in the top ten best social service institutions at the end of 2021. We opened another boarding school in the Belogorsk region. By the end of 2024, another similar institution will be put into operation in Bakhchisaray— said Maxim Teryaev.

Also, during a live broadcast organized by the Regional Management Center of the Republic of Crimea, Maxim Teryaev spoke about the long-term care program, the activities of social workers, training pensioners and organizing their leisure time, and also answered other questions that concern Crimeans.
