95 years! The essential of Crimea celebrates the anniversary
Krympress reports:
In 2025, the etherine industry of Crimea celebrates the 95th anniversary. During this time, the branch of agriculture has come from small plantations to large -scale production. Today, Crimea remains one of the key regions of Russia to grow lavender and roses, and state support contributes to the further development of the industry.
The main areas of ethericlane crops are concentrated in the Bakhchisaray, Belogorsky districts and in the vicinity of Alushta. The leader in the cultivation of the etheric rose is the Bakhchisarai district.
The total area of perennial plantings of etomiclane cultures in Crimea exceeds 1,400 hectares, of which: 800 hectares occupies lavender and 110 hectares are assigned to the etheric rose.
Since 2020, a program has been implemented in the Republic of Crimea to expand space for etheric cultures. Thanks to the measures of state support since 2021, 450 hectares of new plantations of lavender and roses have been laid.
In 2025, 15 million rubles were allocated from the regional budget for the development of the industry. Agricultural manufacturers compensate 80% of the costs of laying new plantations, which stimulates farmers to increase the volume of cultivation of valuable crops.
This year, the farmers of Crimea plan to land 38 hectares of new plantations of lavender and roses. This will not only strengthen the position of the region in the essential oil market, but also contributes to the development of agriturism, which has already become an important part of the economy of the peninsula.
