At the staff meeting of the Government of Sevastopol, chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, the progress of repairs to the city’s roads was discussed. Repairs have already been completed at 99 sites, with a total length of 46.7 km. This was reported by Stanislav Tamataev, Director of the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure.
In total, 131 roads with a total length of over 56 km will be repaired this year within the framework of the national project «Safe High-Quality Roads». The installation of road signs also continues in the city. «Sevastopolsky Avtodor» installs new road signs and traffic lights as part of road maintenance and in accordance with the projects after the repair work on the roads is completed. In total, 513 traffic management projects have been developed this year, 57 have been implemented— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the department.
New bus stops are also being installed in the city.
A commission has been created on the basis of the Directorate for the Development of Road and Transport Infrastructure to determine the priority, necessity and locations of the construction of stopping points. Priority is determined based on the social significance of the stop and its technical condition. In order to assess the condition of existing and new stops, bus routes are monitored every quarter– notes Stanislav Tamataev.
In total, this year, as part of the work on maintaining highways, it is planned to install 25 auto shelters, of which 11 will be new and 14 will replace old ones.
