Police in the city of Saki established the involvement of a 19-year-old online store driver in four cases of misappropriation of someone else’s property. It turned out that the young Crimean was transporting goods between delivery points and warehouses of the online store. But the goods did not always get from point A to point B.
The Saki city police received 4 statements from employees of order delivery points of one of the marketplaces about the appropriation of someone else’s property. When reconciling electronic information, it was discovered that goods returned by customers were not delivered to warehouses. The list of missing goods included household appliances, clothing, and cosmetics. The total amount of damage is more than 28 thousand rubles— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
Suspicions were confirmed: the guy registered in the marketplace application as a driver, transported goods and appropriated goods returned by customers. All goods stolen by the young man were returned and the damage was compensated.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Misappropriation and embezzlement”). The sanction of the article provides for punishment from a large fine to two years in prison. A preventive measure was chosen for the attacker — a written undertaking not to leave the place.
