In Simferopol, an unknown man reported a security threat on the territory of one of the shopping centers. An investigative team immediately left for the scene of the incident. Police officers checked the territory of the shopping center and found no dangerous objects.

As a result of operational search activities, police officers identified the person who called the police department on duty. He turned out to be a 23-year-old resident of Simferopol.

In relation to the attacker, the investigation of OP No. 2 “Kyiv” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (knowingly false report of an act of terrorism).
