A 25-year-old Crimean grew hemp. One hundred bushes of “potion” were confiscated from the “garden”

The Sovetsky District Prosecutor’s Office approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 25-year-old local resident. The Crimean citizen is accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 231 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal large-scale cultivation of plants containing narcotic drugs).
According to investigators, in May of this year the accused planted hemp seeds. After which the man took care of them by watering, loosening the soil, and removing weeds. As a result, the attacker managed to grow more than 100 bushes of drug-containing plants. The illegal actions of the attacker were stopped by employees of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs in the Sovetsky district— said the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Sovetsky District Court for consideration on the merits. “Ogorodnik” faces a penalty of up to 2 years in prison.
