CrimeaPRESS reports:

The prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 27-year-old local resident. She is charged under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 5 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs, committed using the Internet, organized by a group, on an especially large scale), Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, storage without the purpose of selling narcotic drugs on a large scale) and clause “a”, part 4 of art. 174.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (legalization (laundering) of funds acquired as a result of a crime, on a large scale, by an organized group).

According to investigators, in 2022 the woman became part of an organized group with the aim of earning money from the illegal sale of drugs through an online store. Other members of the group taught her how to equip hiding places, gave her an “internship,” after which she began working as a “courier” of narcotic drugs, making “stashes” with single doses for sale to customers. Subsequently, the accused received a “promotion” in the criminal hierarchy, recruited her husband into the group as a driver, and organized the storage and packaging of drugs in an apartment at her place of residence on the street. Gorpishchenko,” reports the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.

In December 2022, a woman and her husband were detained by officers of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol immediately after receiving another wholesale shipment of drugs in the Balaklava region. In total, over 3.8 kg of narcotic drugs α-PVP, MDMA, mephedrone, and hashish were seized at her place of residence, from her car and from hiding places.

In addition, the investigation believes that the accused legalized digital currency acquired as a result of criminal activity in the amount of more than 1.5 million rubles.

The investigation was carried out by the investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.

The prosecutor’s office sent the criminal case to the Nakhimovsky District Court of Sevastopol for consideration on the merits.

The accused is in custody. A court verdict has already been passed against her husband in August 2023, according to which he was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment in a high-security correctional colony. Materials regarding other members of the group are separated into separate proceedings.
