A 64-year-old Crimean woman stole her friend’s bank card. Spent 90 thousand
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Dzhankoy interdistrict prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 64-year-old local resident. The Crimean woman was found guilty under paragraph “g” of Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft committed with causing significant damage to a citizen from a bank account).
The court found that in September 2022, a woman, while visiting her friend, stole his bank card. Next, the attacker repeatedly paid with the card in stores, and also cashed out various amounts using an ATM. In total, the actions of the convicted person caused damage to the victim totaling 92.3 thousand rubles, which was compensated during the pre-trial investigation— reported the prosecutor’s office.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the convicted person to a suspended sentence of 2 years in prison with probation for 1 year and 8 months. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
