Deputies of the State Duma at a plenary meeting on Tuesday, March 26, adopted in the first reading bill on the write-off of interest on loans from SVO participants.

Amendments were adopted in the first reading, which provide for the write-off of interest accrued during the credit holiday on consumer loans for participants in a special military operation. After the adoption of the law, banks will have to notify the borrower within 10 days that there is no obligation to pay interest, and also send him an updated payment schedulesaid Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
He recalled that the order to find a solution to this issue was given by Russian President Vladimir Putin following a meeting with the participants of the Council of Military Districts. Parliament found an option.
If it turns out that the citizen has already paid interest during the credit holiday, the bank will have to redirect these funds to repay the principal debtadded Vyacheslav Volodin.
According to him, the adoption of the law will be an additional measure of financial support for those who today, risking their lives, protect our country.
