A book of selected poems by the Sevastopol poet Nikolai Yarko has been published

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Moscow publishing house «Zebra-E» published a posthumous book of selected poems by Nikolai Nikolaevich Yarko «The Charm of Small Journeys». The Sevastopol presentation of the collection took place on June 25 in the Catherine Hall of the House of Fleet Officers.

Nikolai Yarko was born in 1947 and passed away in 2022. For a long time he taught Russian literature at the 1st gymnasium in Sevastopol. He is the author of poetry collections and Orthodox journalism.

After his death, it was decided to publish a book of selected poems by Nikolai Nikolaevich. The collection was compiled by Tamara Yarko with the participation of the famous Sevastopol poet Boris Babushkin. The book was published in May of this year, and is now presented in Sevastopol.

In our age — plentiful and destructive,

For every step and breath in response,

A poet must be a teacher

The teacher must be a poet.

A remarkable poet and teacher was and remains for many of his students and readers Nikolai Nikolaevich Yarko, — shared Boris Babushkin.

The poet Yury Kublanovskiy noted the importance for the city of such people as Nikolai Yarko.

Lucky is the city that has its own singer, its own poet, who understands the small Motherland as a particle of God’s Intention. Nikolai Bright understood this clearly. And he had a happy gift — to put his understanding into the language of poetry. The lyrical meaning of his poems in understanding and clarifying our existence— notes Yuri Kublanovskiy.

The book can be purchased on the website of the publishing house «Zebra-E» and in the bookstore «Albatross».
