In Sevastopol, the court considered a murder case. The criminal received 9.5 years in a maximum security colony. A 54-year-old man answered under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder). What happened?
In March of this year, a man drank alcohol while visiting his friend, after which a conflict ensued, during which the offended friend inflicted multiple blows on the offender with knives found in the apartment. The victim died from the injuries received in his own apartment, and the attacker disappeared.
The crime, committed in the absence of eyewitnesses, remained unsolved for several days. Based on the results of operational search activities and investigative actions in cooperation with police officers, the identity of the person involved in the commission of the crime was established. Under the weight of evidence presented, the man pleaded guilty to murder— said the Investigative Committee.
The day before, the court found the accused guilty of murder and sentenced him to 9 years and 6 months of imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony. The court’s verdict did not enter into legal force.
