In the Saki region, operatives detained a suspect in arson of a car.
The duty station of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saki» received a message about the arson of a VAZ 2101 car belonging to a 19-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Saki district. Criminal investigation officers detained the suspect in hot pursuit.
A 24-year-old local resident admitted his guilt and said that a conflict arose between him and the victim: he did not like the young driver’s fast driving on rural streets, and he did not respond to comments. Instead of contacting the police, the suspect decided to teach the “racer” a lesson and set his car on fire using a lighter.— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Deliberate destruction or damage to property by arson”). A preventive measure was chosen for the suspect — a written undertaking not to leave the place.
