The structural unit “Center for Creative Industries” operates on the basis of the Sevastopol Vocational and Art College. The vector of its development is the formation of an environment conducive to the creative realization of youth and the development of creative competencies among students.
Today the college hosted the closing ceremony of the festival of creative industries “Manufactories of Sevastopol”, the participants of which were future representatives of creative professions. Students demonstrated their works made of wood, leather, ceramics, and painting.
It is this kind of festival that contributes to the development and support of folk art, the preservation of traditions, the continuity of the artistic skills of generations and everything native that is so dear to us. Sevastopol has always been famous for its centuries-old history. The manufactories of Sevastopol are a precious heritage that we are called upon to preserve and pass on to future generations. I am sure that the festival will reveal new names of young artists and masters— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the structural unit “Center for Creative Industries” Olga Makhonina.
In honor of the closing of the festival, a charity fair was organized dedicated to the upcoming New Year holidays. Preparations for it began on December 1st. Volunteers, creative and active college students created New Year’s souvenirs.
First, the necessary materials were collected to create crafts, then the guys and I developed sketches and technological maps for future products. The final stage of preparation was the creation of New Year’s products in the workshopnotes art college student Anna.
All funds raised from the sale of souvenirs will be used for charity events for SVO participants and patients of the nursing department of City Hospital No. 9 (hospice).
Let us remind you that the II Regional Festival “Manufactories of Sevastopol” was held from November 20 to December 22 at the Sevastopol Professional Art College. More than 280 college students took part in the festival.
