A citywide seminar for employers was held in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Today, the Sevastopol Employment Center held a citywide seminar for employers. More than 50 representatives of enterprises and various organizations of the city took part in the event.

At the seminar, participants discussed the expansion of employment opportunities associated with the start of a comprehensive modernization of the employment service, as well as measures to staffing.

We examined employment issues in the context of the new employment law. Let me remind you that the new employment law came into force in 2024. Its goal is to change the approach to the employment of citizens and systematize government support measures in the field of promoting employment.– quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of Sevastopol Dmitry Shamrey.

In addition, during the seminar, the results of the work of the Employment Center for 2023 were summed up. Last year, the employment service in Sevastopol employed 1.7 thousand people. And over 2.5 thousand citizens asked for help in finding a suitable job. The overall employment rate for 2023 was 65%, 624 enterprises and organizations in our city hired new employees.

We also talked about support measures planned for this year. In 2024, 16.1 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes from the federal and regional budgets.

In 2024, the Sevastopol Employment Center plans to support employers and provide seven types of government financial support. One of them is subsidizing legal entities and entrepreneurs who create jobs for unemployed disabled people. Last year, six enterprises in Sevastopol created specialized jobs for citizens with disabilities. The size of the subsidy for each workplace reaches 100 thousand rubles. Since the launch of the program, 77 jobs have been created for people with disabilities, and the subsidy amounted to 7.56 million rubles, – says Svetlana Rendak, director of the Sevastopol Employment Center.

The meeting took place on the eve of the World Day of Protection and Assistance to the Unemployed, which is celebrated annually on January 28.

Let us recall that in 2024 Sevastopol became a participant in the federal program for the comprehensive modernization of the employment service. By the end of the year, the Employment Center will switch to a new format of work. It provides comprehensive and individual support for clients — employers and job seekers, as well as the provision of services in accordance with uniform standards. The appearance of the premises will also change, which will be brought into line with the corporate style of “Work of Russia”.
