A command and staff exercise was held in Kerch and the Leninsky district of Crimea on the topic: “Actions of control bodies of forces and means of functional and territorial subsystems of the Republic of Crimea during the liquidation of the consequences of emergency situations on federal roads.”
The main goal of the exercise is to increase the readiness of management bodies, coordination bodies, forces and means necessary to eliminate natural and man-made emergencies caused by adverse weather conditions. Also, improving the knowledge and practical skills of the management staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea, management bodies and RSChS forces in eliminating the consequences of emergencies on roads— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
The teaching took place in two stages. At the first stage, control bodies and forces were brought into readiness to respond to natural and man-made emergencies on federal roads caused by the passage of a complex of dangerous (adverse) meteorological phenomena.
At the second stage, the elimination of natural and man-made emergencies on roads caused by unfavorable weather conditions was worked out.
During the exercise, the procedure for bringing forces and assets into readiness, notification, gathering and organizing the work of operational headquarters, checking the condition of equipment, clarifying operational response plans, etc. were worked out. In addition, the involved forces demonstrated actions for the deployment and operation of heating points in zones of simulated emergency situationsnoted the emergency department.
Units of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, the Leninsky emergency rescue squad of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea “CRIMEA-SPAS”, the Administration of the municipalities of the Leninsky district and the Kerch municipality, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea “KRYMAVTODOR” were involved in the command post exercise. In total, 231 people and 47 pieces of equipment took part in the command post exercise.
