A common story for the “silent hunting” season in Crimea: a family went into the forest to pick mushrooms and… got lost
CrimeaPRESS reports:
I had to call “CRIMEA-SPAS” to the rescue.
Employees of «CRIMEA-SPAS» evacuated 2 adults and children who got lost in the area of the Stone Mushrooms tract (Satera Valley, not far from Alushta).
On October 26 at 16:10, information was received that in the area of the Alaka River, two adults with two children had strayed from the tourist trail and could not leave the mountain-forest zone on their own. Rescuers’ assistance is required in their evacuation. Having previously clarified the expected location of the victims, employees of the Alushta emergency rescue team of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «CRIMEA-SPAS» went to provide assistance.
As a result, people were discovered in the Stone Mushrooms tract on a steep slope with scree. Employees of «CRIMEA-SPAS» organized rope railings and evacuated them to a safe place. People did not need medical care. Then the rescuers took them to their personal car.— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
Crimean rescuers strongly recommend that all lovers of “silent hunting” study the area in advance, discuss their route and return time with their relatives. Choose clothes of bright colors, take with you a whistle, a compass, a supply of food and water, matches, medicines and a fully charged phone. It is important to find well-remembered landmarks.
