A competition of professional skills among student medical teams was held in Crimea

The first competition of professional skills among student medical teams of the Republic of Crimea gathered 50 participants. It took place on the basis of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor Medical Institute named after. S.I. Georgievsky Crimean Federal University named after. V.I. Vernadsky.

At the Center for Simulation Training and Accreditation of KFU. V.I. Vernadsky student brigades were tested in nursing and the basics of activities of Russian student brigades. Participants also demonstrated practical skills based on solving situational problems: performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, intramuscular and intravenous injections, stopping bleeding, measuring blood pressure, venipuncture, and helping with fractures.

As a result of the competition, the student medical team “Lux Vitae” became the winner, which will represent the Crimean regional branch of the Russian student teams at the All-Russian professional skills competition among student medical teams in Moscow.

Participation in such competitions is an opportunity to improve practical knowledge and skills for future doctors. Participating in the All-Russian competition will be more difficult. But the very fact that our squad qualified for the All-Russian stage of the professional skills competition for student medical teams was a serious achievement for our team— said the commander of the student medical detachment “Lux Vitae” of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian Socialist Republic Tatyana Glushkova.
