A court in Crimea handed down a relatively lenient sentence to a woman who stabbed her “ex” to death.
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Crimea, a 43-year-old resident of the Krasnogvardeisky district received 6 years in prison (not even a maximum security one) for murder (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). One can only guess what facts and circumstances the court took into account, because this was not just a case of “domestic murder.” A drunk Crimean woman stabbed her “ex” to death.
The court found that the convict, while intoxicated, during a quarrel inflicted several blows on her former partner in the abdominal cavity with a utility knife. The man died as a result of his injuries. The convict admitted her guilt in full— the prosecutor’s office gave meager details.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the woman to 6 years in prison. The convicted person will serve her sentence in a general regime correctional colony. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
