A court in Crimea sentenced a robber from the Rostov region to ten and a half years in prison

In Crimea, the Saki District Court issued a verdict in a criminal case against a resident of the Rostov region. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, he was found guilty under Part 3 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery), part 1 of Art. 127 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal deprivation of a person’s freedom).
The court found that in May last year the defendant, together with another person, the criminal case against whom was separated into separate proceedings, decided to commit a robbery. For this purpose, they arrived at the garage where the victim was located. There, the attackers beat the man, inflicting at least 10 blows to the head and various parts of the body with a shovel. The defendant demanded that the gold jewelry be handed over to him, when he was refused, he took the jewelry and mobile phone from the victim. The attackers fled with the stolen goods, and the victim was locked in the garage,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 10 years and 6 months in prison to be served in a special regime correctional colony with a fine of 400 thousand rubles. At present, the verdict has not entered into legal force.
