A Crimean citizen wanted to “pay off” a state traffic inspector… with a gold bracelet

I was left without a license, without a bracelet and without a car.
The Razdolnensky district prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 33-year-old local resident. The Crimean citizen was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a car while intoxicated by a person subjected to administrative punishment for a similar act), Part 3 of Art. 30, part 3 art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted bribery).
The court found that the man, having been brought to administrative responsibility for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, did not draw the appropriate conclusions for himself and, having consumed alcohol, again got behind the wheel of a Honda Crosstour car.
Moving along Anton Kim Street in the village of Steregushcheye, Razdolnensky District, the accused was stopped by traffic police officers. In order to conceal his illegal actions and evade legal responsibility, the man tried to bribe a traffic police inspector in the form of a gold bracelet worth 75 thousand rubles. The internal affairs officer refused illegal remuneration,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.
The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 2 years and 1 month of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 3 years and 6 months. The convicted person is deprived of the right to drive vehicles for 2 years and 6 months. The Honda Crosstour car belonging to the convicted person, as well as the gold bracelet, were confiscated to the state.
