The Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea has completed the consideration of a criminal case, as a result of which a resident of the Dzhankoy district, born in 1992. was found guilty of rehabilitating Nazism. On May 9, a Crimean resident posted a publication in one of the channels of the Internet resource “Telegram” in which he, in a rude and obscene form, expressed his disdain for the day “May 9 — Victory Day of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 — 1945 (1945) «and the role of the USSR in World War II and the Victory over fascism.

In addition, as clarified in court, the reasoning of the convict, set out in this publication in the form of a distortion of historical facts, contained signs of denial of the facts established by the verdict of the International Military Tribunal for the trial and punishment of the main war criminals of the European Axis countries, as well as deliberately false information about the activities USSR during the Second World War.

At the court hearing, the defendant admitted his guilt as charged.

The case was considered in a special manner, since the convict agreed with the charges brought against him and petitioned for a verdict without a trial in the general manner. In this case, the imposed punishment cannot exceed two-thirds of the maximum term or amount of the most severe type of punishment provided for the crime committed.the court was told.

The Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea found the defendant guilty of committing crimes under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, part 4 of Art. 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (rehabilitation of Nazism), and sentenced him for a set of crimes, by partial addition of sentences, in the form of imprisonment for a term of 2 years 6 months in a general regime correctional colony. The court also imposed a ban on engaging in activities related to the administration of sites in information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet, for a period of 4 years.

The verdict did not enter into legal force.
