A Crimean citizen will pay a large fine for “homemade wine”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Leninsky District Court issued a verdict in a criminal case against a local resident. The Crimean citizen was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production, storage, transportation for the purpose of marketing products that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers).
The court found that the man made an alcohol-containing liquid using a homemade method, and then poured it into five-liter plastic and three-liter glass bottles with a total volume of at least 121 liters. The defendant stored it for subsequent sale in one of the public catering establishments located on the shores of the Azov Sea. His actions were stopped by employees of the internal affairs bodies— reported the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to a fine of 70 thousand rubles.
